Object of the Bill
The object of the Bill is to consolidate the law on physical planning into one law in order to make the whole country a planning area. The Bill seeks to enact a physical planning legislation which is in accordance with the Constitution and other laws governing physical planning in Uganda.
The Bill establishes a National Planning Board which shall be responsible for physical planning. The Bill seeks to establish district and urban physical planning committees, it also provides for the making and approval of physical development plans, applications for development and other related matters.
