Object of the Bill
The purpose of this Bill is to establish a multisectoral Uganda Aids Commission whose main functions include the provision of national leadership in the campaign against the AIDS epidemic through its prevention and control, the coordination and supervision of AIDS control programs, research as well as the provision of health-care, counselling and management of the consequences of the AIDS epidemic.
