Object of the Bill

The main object of this Bill is to give the force of law in Uganda to the Treaty Establishing the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) which was adopted in Kampala on the 5th day of October, 1993 and in respect of which Uganda
became on that day a Member State upon the signing by His Excellency the President, of the Treaty together with the other High Contracting Parties.
